Current Projects

I thought I’d write a quick post with a few updates.

My next book, The Rules in Rome, is tentatively scheduled for a February 2015 release . . . which means it’s coming out soon! (The release date could still change, so please check back or sign up for my newsletter.) I don’t have cover art to share yet, but the publisher and I are most of the way through the editing process. For the first time in three years, I won’t have editing deadlines over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, and that’s a relief. I’m really excited for this story to hit bookstore shelves. It’s another WWII spy thriller, but with different characters, and a little more romance than my previous books. For those of you who aren’t fans of romance–don’t worry, there’s still plenty of action.

I’ve also finished the first draft of a novel set during the First World War. Moving to a new time period had been challenging and interesting. It’s a big war, so I won’t call myself an expert, but I have learned a ton. A week ago I started revising the manuscript and I’m looking forward to introducing this time period to my readers.

There are a few other things I’m working on too.

Southern Utah News Oct 2 articleI’ll be teaching a class at the Kanab Writers Conference on October 25. The local newspaper, the Southern Utah News, posted an article about my writing as part of their lead-up to the event. (Click on the image for a larger view.)

On a personal note, I’m also expecting my third child, and that is taking up a lot of my energy. My husband and I have done the twins thing, and we’re excited to try a singleton this time. I’m not sure what a new baby will do to my writing time (other than cut it drastically), but I plan to keep on writing, even if it’s at a slower pace.
