The 2015 Whitney Award finalists were announced earlier this month, and I am thrilled that The Rules in Rome is a finalist in the Historical category.
The Whitney Award program was created to highlight quality fiction written by LDS authors. You can read more about the program on the Whitney website. I wrote about the program in more depth in this blog post.
For the 2015 awards, more than 300 books were nominated for consideration in eight categories: General Fiction, Historical, Mystery/Suspense, Romance, Speculative, General Youth Fiction, Speculative Youth, and Middle Grade.
The 2015 awards will be presented beginning at 7:30 p.m. on May 7th, 2016 at the Whitney Award Gala, Provo Marriott Hotel. This will be the program’s 8th year. Tickets are available to the public through the LDStorymakers website.
Congrats. I was excited to see this one on there.
