Reviews are huge for an author. They provide encouragement on those days when you wonder if all the time you put into writing is really worth it. They nudge new readers to give the book a try. And more reviews can generate more marketing opportunities, especially on sites like Amazon.com.
I’m so grateful for all the readers who have taken the time to post a few thoughts about my books. As a thank you to reviewers, I’m giving away FIVE COPIES of my April 2017 release, Defiance. The contest runs until the end of the month, so there are still four weeks to read and post reviews for more opportunities to win.
Here’s how it works:
Read:
You must read the book before posting a review. Whether you read the book 5 days ago or 5 years ago, it counts. It also counts if you finish the book on January 31st just a few minutes before midnight. Whether you bought the book, borrowed it from the library, or received a review copy, you are eligible.
Write:
Your review can be as simple as “I liked it” or something longer and more involved. It’s not a book report, so don’t stress over it.
Post:
Put your review up on sites of your choice. Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes & Noble, blogs, and Deseret Book all count. You can post the same text on multiple sites and get an entry for each website. Reviews posted a few years ago count, and so do brand new reviews.
Enter:
Copy and paste a link to your review(s) in this form.
Repeat:
You can do this for as many of my books as you’ve read. (If you’d like to double-check you’ve read them all, see this page.)
Win:
In February, five winners will be randomly chosen and they’ll each get a paperback copy of my next novel, Defiance.
