Old Books
This spring at a book signing, I realized that it’s hard to get paperback copies of some of my older titles. Bookstores only have so much shelf space, and priority naturally goes to newer releases. Online stores make it easier to find older titles, but if someone wants a brand-new copy of Espionage or Sworn Enemy, they’re going to have a hard time finding it.
I happen to have brand-new copies of my old books sitting in a box in my closet. So I’m selling them through Amazon, because I want fans to have options.
Between the cost I pay for the book, Amazon’s fees (three of them), postage, and packaging, I’m not able to offer free shipping. If you find a better deal, please buy it there instead. My preference is always for readers to support their favorite bookseller, be it a brick and mortar store or something online. I’m not trying to compete with bookstores, and I’m not selling my new titles that are in stock elsewhere.
If you’ve never read any of my books and want to give my writing a try, I’d suggest one of my newer books: Defiance, The Rules in Rome, or The Spider and the Sparrow. But if you’ve already read the new stuff, or you want some of the older books for a Christmas present, that is once again possible.
New Book

For the first time since 2010, I don’t know when my next book will be released.
Gasp.
Here’s what happened, in brief. I wrote something with a different setting. It’s long. Long books have expensive cover prices, and expensive books don’t sell as well, so my normal publisher wasn’t able to publish it in paperback or audiobook. I am still on good terms with Covenant, but we won’t be doing this project together, at least not in spring of 2018 as we had tentatively planned.
I will most likely not have a book release in 2018. But I’m still writing, and I still plan on producing about a book a year, so if there is no book in 2018, there will be two books in some other year in the not-to-distant future. I hope those of you who love my stuff will be patient. The new book is good. I love it. Test readers love it. The publishing process can be slow, so it might take a while for it to come out. But it will, eventually.
If you want to be sure not to miss any of my future books, please consider subscribing to my newsletter.
I hope everyone has a safe, happy, and yummy Thanksgiving week!
I’m excited for your new book. It is so incredible. One of my favorites that won’t leave my mind since I test-read it for you. Good luck getting it published. It deserves a wide audience, since it’s so unique.

Thanks, Charissa! I may ask you to test read again soon before too long. I think I’ll finish Danilo’s story this week. Well, the first draft. And it’s a messy first draft. But once I get it cleaned up . . .
