A friend took these pictures of Arlington National Cemetery early in November. I love the fall colors, and I love Arlington, so when I saw these, I wanted to share them with my blog readers.
If you look at the headstone, you’ll see Lieutenant Smith served in the Spanish American War, WWI, and WWII. He lived a longer-than average life. I hope it was an overall happy one.
Thank you to our Veterans. Your service is remembered and appreciated. And to any international friends, happy Armistice Day.
Great poem! My little brother (Army) just returned from Afghanistan and his wife posted a video of him coming home. One of his comments really struck me. He was walking into the apartment again and his wife sat the baby on the floor. My brother said “he just sits up by himself now?” Made me sad that he’d missed it.
I’m not sure where you’re getting your info, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or understanding more. Thanks for wonderful info I was looking for this info for my mission.

Those moments are hard. “Will my 18 month old daughter remember me at the airport?” Tough questions to deal with.
