March Meme Madness, Week 3 & March Cover Madness, Round 2

Every Wednesday this month, I’m posting a short quote from my novel, Defiance, which will be available in April. This one describes Luke’s position in early December, 1944.

Any history buffs want to predict what’s going to happen based on the quote and the map? Actually . . . don’t guess. Just read the book.

Defiance WEBDefiance will be available for purchase on April 1. Unless you come to my book signing on March 25. Then you can get it early. Here are the two books signings scheduled around the release date:

Celebrating Sisterhood
Saturday, March 25, 9 to 11 am
Murray Fashion Place Seagull Book
260 E Winchester Street, Murray, UT 84107

Deseret Book Ladies’ Night
Saturday, April 1, 6 to 8 pm
Draper Deseret Book
107 E 12300 South, Draper, UT 84020

Also, one of my friends is hosting March Cover Madness on her blog. Last week The Rules in Rome advanced to round 2. Now it’s up against Love, Jane, by Ranee S. Clark. The contest is all about judging books by their covers (and winning prizes). You can vote here.

  1. This quote sound intriguing, making me think that “being spread thinner than a civilian’s butter ration” is going to lead to lots of action and twists and turns in a way that only Amanda can write!
